Little children are often far better at living in the present moment than most adults. Although they are experts at riding the waves of the present moment, they often don't have the skills to ride with non-reactivity. Mindfulness practices can help children at this age with self-regulation skills as well as developing empathic abilities to understand what is happening inside of others' minds.
Implementation:
At this age, mindfulness lessons can last from 10 to 30 minutes.
